Detailed Itinerary for 6 Days Wildlife safari and Rwenzori hiking.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
On this day, you will be picked from your hotel/Residence by one of our company guides, who will drive you straight to Murchison falls national park. This journey will take you 7-9 hrs drive, you will have en-rout lunch and proceed to the to your hotel; in the evening go for game drive. Dinner and overnight at either Kalalo cottages or Pakuba safari lodge.
Day 2. Morning game drive and a boat cruise along the Nile/ top of the falls.
On this day wake up early and have breakfast at 6:00 am, then start your Game drive. During the game drive you will be in position to see very many animals such as lions, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, water bucks and birds among others. After the game drive you will visit top of the falls. Later have your lunch as you prepare for a 3hrs boat cruise which departs at 2pm, while on boat, you will be able to see various Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, elephants along the banks of the Nile as well as different beautiful birds some singing in the trees such as the bee-eaters, the colored kingfishers, the shoe billed stork and many others.
Likewise, the boat ride will take you to the base/bottom of the Murchison Falls, when you reach here you will be able to see clearly the mighty waterfalls. You will also visit top of falls. Dinner and overnight at Kalalo cottages, or Pakuba safari lodge.
Day 3. TRANSFER TO Mt Rwenzori national park.
Have morning breakfast and be transferred to Mt. Rwenzori National Park, you will have lunch en-rout; arrival will be late evening. Dinner and overnight at Ruboni Camp.
Day 4. HIKE from NYAKARENGIJA (1646 m) to Nyabitaba Hut (2652m).
After a heavy breakfast, you will be transferred to the Rwenzori Mountaineering Services at Nyakalengija to get the necessary equipment for hiking with guides and porters, and later set off for the 5-7 hours hike to Nyabitaba Hut. The trail follows the Mubuku River crossing recent landslide areas. Reach the Makoma River after 2½hr and then proceed to a very steep climb through open bracken fern slopes and podocarpus forest up to Nyabitaba Hut for an overnight or Mt Rwenzori Safari Bands.

DAY 5. NYABITABA- JOHNMAATE (3505M).
Pass through the forest about a half an hour to the Kurt Shiffer Bridge, the conference of Mubuku and Bujuku rivers. Then through the bamboo forest, slippery moss-covered rocks for a couple of hours. Nyamuleju rock shelter and a view of Mount Stanley and mount Speke then finally to Johnmaate hut. View of Mount Stanley and Magherita are made. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
DAY 6. JOHNMAATE TO NYABITABA CAMP – DESCEND AND TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
Here the same features will be viewed on the way back to Nyabitaba camp, proceed down the panga ridge and exit the mountain/national park in the midafternoon. Then have your lunch and transfer back to Kampala.
